Commonwealth legislation
This Act has been repealed and is no longer in force. It is retained for historical reference.
What this does: This document formally approves a specific customs form that importers must use when bringing goods into Australia.
Key details:
Who it affects: Anyone importing goods into Australia—importers, customs brokers, and businesses engaged in international trade.
Why it matters: The Customs Act requires certain communications to use officially "approved forms." Without this instrument, the import declaration form would not be legally valid, potentially blocking goods at the border.
