This Determination prescribes the physical and design standards for a commemorative $5 coin — its metal composition, standard weight and allowable variation, diameter, thickness and the official obverse and reverse motifs — and directs the Royal Australian Mint to produce coins matching those specifications (s 3, Schedule 1).

It governs production and the lawful appearance of that coin, assigning compliance and production responsibilities to the Mint/the Commonwealth, and expressly does not alter other coin specifications (s 4).
