Plain English Summary

5/10 complexity

This Determination legally fixes the physical specifications and official design for a $2 coin struck from at least 99.9% silver—setting shape, size, weight tolerance, edge pattern, obverse and reverse imagery, inscriptions and its commencement date. It binds the issuing authority and affects the mint, dealers and holders of coinage because it determines legal‑tender appearance and production tolerances. The text contains duplicate, inconsistent clauses for the reverse image, creating ambiguity about which design is authoritative.
