Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Determination sets out the exact physical specifications and artistic designs for three Australian commemorative coins (two $20 silver coins and one $200 gold coin) and fixes the date those rules commence. It tells the minting authority and officials the required weight, composition, dimensions, edge inscriptions and obverse/reverse imagery for each coin. It affects the Royal Australian Mint (who must meet the specs), businesses and banks that handle coinage, and collectors; compliance costs fall mainly on the issuer to produce coins that match the stated requirements.
