Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This instrument does two things: it fixes the short title for the Crown Proceedings Regulations 1993 and designates corresponding laws in South Australia, the Australian Capital Territory and Tasmania for section 7 of the Crown Proceedings Act. It affects courts, Crown solicitors and litigants because those external laws can be treated as equivalent for procedural or interpretive purposes. The change is technical and narrow: it creates little direct compliance cost but imports cross‑jurisdictional interpretive reliance.
