51 Duration of restraining order (1) A restraining order under section 43 or 44 has effect for the period set by the court when the order is made. (2) On application, the court that made a restraining order may extend the duration of the order for a further period. (3) The court that made a restraining order may extend the duration of the order on as many occasions as the court sees fit. (4) If the period of a restraining order is extended under this section, the applicant in relation to the order must serve a notice of the extension on each person on whom a notice was served under section 47.
