236 Supplementary prosecution address (1) If, in the closing address of the accused under section 235, the accused asserts facts which are not supported by any evidence that is before the jury, the trial judge may grant leave to the prosecution to make a supplementary address to the jury. (2) A supplementary address must be confined to replying to the assertion referred to in subsection (1). (3) The trial judge may limit the length of a supplementary address.
