153 Special mention hearing At a special mention hearing, the Magistrates' Court may— (a) change the date fixed by the court for any hearing in a committal proceeding; (b) make any order or give any direction that the court considers appropriate for the management of the committal proceeding; S. 153(c) amended by No. 68/2009 s. 17. (c) if the court considers it appropriate to do so, immediately conduct a committal mention hearing and determine a committal proceeding in accordance with section 141, 142 or 143.
