141 Determination of committal proceeding where hand-up brief used If a hand-up brief is served and the accused has not elected to stand trial under section 143, the Magistrates' Court must commit the accused for trial in accordance with section 144— (a) if there is to be no cross-examination of witnesses, at the end of the committal mention hearing; or (b) if there is to be cross-examination of witnesses, at the end of the committal hearing.
