140 Procedure if accused makes admission of relevant fact or matter (1) If under section 184 of the **Evidence Act 2008** an accused makes, during a committal proceeding, an admission of any fact or matter that is relevant in the proceeding, the Magistrates' Court must cause the admission to be included in the record of the proceeding. (2) An admission made by an accused during a committal proceeding may be used in evidence at the subsequent trial.
