sec.52 Application of part
This part applies to a proceeding for an offence before the Supreme Court, the District Court or a Magistrates Court (the court ). Rule 53 applies also to the Court of Appeal. In subrule (1) — proceeding , for an offence, includes— a proceeding in which a person is to be sentenced; and for a Magistrates Court, a committal proceeding. r 52 amd 2024 SL No. 56 s 5 (sec.52-ssec.1) This part applies to a proceeding for an offence before the Supreme Court, the District Court or a Magistrates Court (the court ). (sec.52-ssec.2) Rule 53 applies also to the Court of Appeal. (sec.52-ssec.3) In subrule (1) — proceeding , for an offence, includes— a proceeding in which a person is to be sentenced; and for a Magistrates Court, a committal proceeding.
