320 Charge of causing event, &c. (1) Upon an indictment charging a person with an offence of which causing an event is an element he may be found guilty alternatively of any offence of which causing an event of a similar, but less injurious, nature is an element. (2) Upon an indictment charging a person with an offence of which an intent to cause an event is an element he may be found guilty alternatively of any offence of which the unlawful causing of that event is an element.
