228F Alternative verdicts (1) This section applies if, in a proceeding against a person charged with an offence against section 228C (the prosecuted offence), the trier of fact: committed the prosecuted offence; but committed an offence against section 228D (the alternative offence). (2) The trier of fact may find the person not guilty of the prosecuted offence but guilty of the alternative offence.
