214 Dishonesty (1) A person's appropriation of property belonging to someone else is not dishonest if the person appropriates the property with the reasonable belief that the property is lost and the owner of the property cannot be discovered. (2) Subsection (1) does not apply to a person appropriating the property as a trustee or personal representative. (3) A person who appropriates the property of another person may be dishonest even if they are willing to pay for the property. Criminal Code Act 1983 210
