#### 2 Commencement and duration 2 Commencement and duration > > (1) This Act commences on a day or days to be appointed by proclamation. > > > > Editorial note. > > > > Day appointed for the purposes of this section: 3.8.1990—see Gazette No 97 of 3.8.1990, p 7096. > > > (2) This Act is repealed 6 years after the day, or the earlier or earliest of the days, appointed under subsection (1) unless either House of Parliament earlier resolves to the contrary. > > > > Editorial note. > > > > Resolution passed in Legislative Assembly on 19.6.1996 that the Act is not to be repealed in accordance with section 2 (2) of the Act.
