61C Meaning of criminal group—pt 4.6
(1) In this part:
criminal group means a group operating in the ACT or elsewhere that
has as an objective—
(a) engaging in conduct that constitutes an indictable offence,
including directing, planning, facilitating, supporting or
carrying out the conduct; or
(b) obtaining for the group, someone in the group or someone else,
a material benefit from conduct engaged in, in the ACT or
elsewhere that, if it occurred in the ACT, would constitute an
indictable offence under a territory law.
group means a group of 2 or more people, however structured,
regardless of—
(a) where the group is based; or
(b) where a person involved in the group ordinarily lives; or
(c) whether the people involved in the group changes from time to
time; or
(d) whether only some of the people involved in the group plan,
organise or carry out a particular activity.
