135 Release authorised by parole order (1) A parole order for an offender authorises anyone having custody of the offender for the offender’s sentence of imprisonment to release the offender in accordance with the order. (2) However, the parole order does not authorise the release of the offender if the offender is required to be kept in custody in relation to another offence against a territory law, or an offence against a law of the Commonwealth, a State or another Territory. (3) The offender must be released from imprisonment under the offender’s sentence of imprisonment on the offender’s parole release date. (4) The offender may be released from the imprisonment at any time on the parole release date. (5) However, if the parole release date is not a working day at the place of imprisonment, the offender may be released from the imprisonment at any time during the last working day at that place before the release date if the offender asks to be released on that day.
