116D Offender to give registrar contact details
(1) An offender on whom a fine is imposed must give the registrar their
contact details within 7 days after the day the fine is imposed.
(2) An offender who is liable to pay a fine and who changes their contact
details before the fine and any relevant administrative fee are paid
must give the registrar their new contact details within 7 days after
the day the change happens.
(3) An offender who is liable to pay a fine must give the registrar
evidence of their contact details if required to do so by the registrar.
(4) Subsections (1), (2) and (3) do not apply if the person has a reasonable
excuse.
Note The defendant has an evidential burden in relation to the matters
mentioned in s (4) (see Criminal Code, s 58).
contact details, for an offender, means the following details:
(a) home address;
(b) postal address;
(c) email address (if any);
(d) home phone number (if any);
(e) mobile phone number (if any).
