Commonwealth legislation
This regulation names Iraq, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu as “declared foreign countries” under the Crimes (Overseas) Act 1964, so acts in those places fall within the Act while the designation is in force. The designation starts on commencement of the Crimes (Overseas) (Declared Foreign Countries) Amendment Regulations 2025 and ends on 1 April 2029. The prior 2003 regulations continue to apply to acts that occurred before 1 July 2019.
