30 Record of police officer’s order (1) If a police officer orders the carrying out of a forensic procedure on a suspect who is in custody, the police officer must— (a) make a record of— (i) the order; and (ii) the date and time the order was made; and Non-intimate forensic procedures on suspect by order of police officer Part 2.4 (b) sign the record. (2) The police officer must make and sign the record when the order is made or as soon as practicable afterwards. (3) The police officer must ensure that a copy of the record is made available to the suspect as soon as practicable after the record is made. Part 2.5 Forensic procedures on suspect by order of magistrate
