#### 32 Restoring control of aircraft
(1) Where Australia is required, under a Convention provision, to take all appropriate measures to restore control of an aircraft to its lawful commander, or to preserve the lawful commander’s control of the aircraft, an authorised person may take such action, and in particular may use such force and assistance, as is reasonably necessary to ensure compliance with the requirement.
(2) In this section:
> Convention provision means:
(a) paragraph 1 of Article 11 of the Tokyo Convention; or
(b) paragraph 1 of Article 9 of the Hague Convention.
