#### 6 Information for inmates who are nationals of other countries 6 Information for inmates who are nationals of other countries > > (1) As soon as practicable after an inmate who is a national of another country is received into a correctional centre, the governor must ensure the inmate is informed that the diplomatic or consular representative of that country will be informed of the inmate’s imprisonment if the inmate makes a written application for that purpose. > > > (2) If the inmate makes the application, the governor must inform the diplomatic or consular representative without delay.
