629 Release of person from custody (1) This section applies if, on the commencement day, the director-general responsible for the Crimes (Sentence Administration) Act 2005 is required under this part to release from custody a person who committed, or is alleged to have committed, a youth offence. (2) The director-general responsible for that Act must ensure that reasonable steps are taken to ensure the safety of the person on the person’s release from custody.
