434B Joinder of charges
(1) Charges against the same person for any number of offences against
the same provision of a territory law may be joined in the same
information or summons if the charges are founded on the same facts
or form, or are part of, a series of offences of the same or a similar
character.
(2) If a person is convicted of 2 or more offences mentioned in subsection
(1), and the offences relate to doing or failing to do the same act, the
court may impose 1 penalty in relation to both or all the offences, but
the penalty must not exceed the total of the maximum penalties that
could be imposed if a separate penalty were imposed in relation to
each offence.
