381 Possession of offensive weapons and disabling
substances with intent
(1) A person who has on his or her person an offensive weapon or a
disabling substance, in circumstances indicating intent to use the
weapon or substance to commit an offence involving actual or
threatened violence, is guilty of an offence punishable, on conviction,
by a fine of $2 000, imprisonment for 1 year or both.
disabling substance means any anaesthetising or other substance
made for use for disabling a person, or intended for that use by the
person who has it in his or her possession.
