280 Arraignment etc on charge of previous conviction
(1) No person shall be arraigned, in respect of any previous conviction
charged in any indictment, unless he or she is convicted of the
subsequent offence charged in the indictment.
(2) On conviction he or she shall forthwith be arraigned, and the jury
shall be charged as to the previous conviction, or convictions, and the
trial shall proceed in relation to them.
