### 55 Obstruction of persons executing search warrants > A person must not, without reasonable excuse, obstruct or hinder a police officer who is executing a search warrant issued under [section 53](#GS53@EN) . > > Penalty:   – > > > > (a) in the case of a body corporate – a fine not exceeding 100 penalty units; or > > > > > (b) in any other case – a fine not exceeding 20 penalty units or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years or both.
