### 201 Obstructing a police officer > [*\[Section 201 Inserted by No. 60 of 2013, s. 12, Applied:01 Mar 2014\]*](/view/html/inforce/2014-03-01/act-2013-060#GS12@EN) > > > (1)  A person commits an offence if the person wilfully delays or obstructs a police officer in the performance of the police officer's functions under this Part, or wilfully delays or obstructs a person assisting a police officer in the performance of those functions. > > > > Penalty:  Fine not exceeding 1 000 penalty units or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 5 years, or both. > > > (2)  A person must not knowingly or wilfully fail to produce any property to, or conceal or attempt to conceal any property from, a police officer in the performance of the officer's functions under this Part or a person assisting a police officer in the performance of those functions. > > > > Penalty:  Fine not exceeding 1 000 penalty units or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 5 years, or both.
