### 187 Enforcing compliance with Part or court order > [*\[Section 187 Inserted by No. 60 of 2013, s. 12, Applied:01 Mar 2014\]*](/view/html/inforce/2014-03-01/act-2013-060#GS12@EN) > > > (1)  If a person fails to take any action necessary to comply with, or give effect to, this Part or an order under this Part – > > > > > > (a) at the direction of the Supreme Court or a judge, the Assistant Judge or a Registrar of the Supreme Court may take the necessary action; and > > > > > > > (b) the action of the Assistant Judge or Registrar has effect for all purposes as if it had been done by the person. > > > (2)  The person who failed to take an action referred to in [subsection (1)](#GS187@Gs1@EN) is liable to pay any costs incurred as a result of the Assistant Judge or Registrar taking that action and the costs are recoverable by the State as a debt due and payable.
