35 Complaints about security officers and authorised court officers

(1) A person may make a written complaint to the administrative head of a court about conduct of a security officer or an authorised court officer purporting to exercise a power or perform a duty under this Act in relation to court premises that: (a) are occupied or used in connection with sittings or other operations of the court; or (b) are the subject of an order made under section 6 by the administrative head of the court.

Note: Under the Ombudsman Act 1976, the Ombudsman may also investigate such conduct, either because a complaint is made to the Ombudsman or on his or her own initiative.

(2) The administrative head must deal with the complaint in accordance with the regulations. (3) This section does not apply to the administrative head of the Family Court of Western Australia.
