671 Contravention of pt 2.8 order—other action (1) If a party, without reasonable excuse, contravenes an order of the court made under this part, the court may— (a) if the party is a plaintiff or other claimant—order that all, or a stated part, of the party’s proceeding be struck out, dismissed or stayed; or (b) if the party is a defendant or respondent—order that the party not be allowed to defend all, or a stated part, of the proceeding against the party. (2) This rule does not limit any other power of the court in relation to the contravention.
