6350 Time—certain days excluded in working out (1) This rule applies if, under these rules or an order of the court, something must or may be done within a particular period of time. (2) If the period is 5 days or less, any day when the registry is closed is excluded in working out when the thing must or may be done. An application must be served at least 2 days before the return date for the application under rule 6008 (Application in proceeding—filing and service). If the return date is a Monday, the weekend before the return date is excluded in working out the 2-day period, and the application must be served no later than Wednesday before the return date. (3) Any day in the period beginning on 25 December and ending on 1 January is excluded in working out when the thing must or may be, or is, done.
