6254 Order that jurisdiction in proceeding be exercised by
judicial officer other than registrar
(1) If the jurisdiction of the court is to be, or is being, exercised in a
proceeding by the registrar, a judicial officer of the court may order
that the jurisdiction of the court in the proceeding be exercised by a
judicial officer of the court.
(2) A judicial officer may make an order under this rule—
(a) on application by a party to the proceeding; and
(b) at any time before the end of the proceeding before the registrar.
(3) If a judicial officer makes an order under this rule, the judicial officer
exercising the jurisdiction of the court in the proceeding may—
(a) hear and decide the proceeding; or
(b) decide an issue in the proceeding and refer the proceeding back
to the registrar and give the directions (if any) the judicial officer
considers appropriate in relation to the proceeding.
