5539 Appeals to Court of Appeal—notification of result of
appeal against conviction etc
(1) For an application or appeal under this part in relation to a conviction
or sentence, the registrar must give notice—
(a) to each relevant person about the final decision made on the
application or appeal; and
(b) to each party to the application or appeal, or anyone else the
registrar considers appropriate, about an order made in relation
to the application or appeal.
(2) However, the registrar need only give notice to a person mentioned
in subrule (1) if the person was not present when the application or
appeal was decided, or the order made.
present means—
(a) present in person; or
(b) present by audiovisual link or audio link.
relevant person means—
(a) a party to the application or appeal; or
(b) the judge who gave the order appealed from; or
(c) anyone else the registrar considers appropriate.
