4330 Magistrates Court witness—informant may request
attendance
(1) The informant may, by letter sent by a form of post that requires a
signature on receipt, request a person to attend to give evidence as a
witness at the hearing of an information.

(2) The letter must—
(a) set out the time and place for the hearing; and
(b) be accompanied by an undertaking to attend the hearing to be
signed by the person and returned to the informant by the date
stated in the undertaking; and

(c) be accompanied by a form to be completed by the person to
claim the person’s reasonable expenses incurred in attending the
