3957 Arbitration—denial and submission to award or payment
by employer
(1) An employer who is a party to an arbitration may, before the day set
for the arbitration—
(a) file in the court a notice stating that—
(i) the employer does not admit liability on the claim; or

(ii) the employer submits to an award of the court for the
payment of the amount of weekly compensation stated in
the notice but does not admit liability on the claim; and
(b) pay into court—
(i) an amount sufficient to cover the liability the employer
would have on the claim if the employer did not deny
liability; or
(ii) the amount stated in the notice.
