3353 Election application etc originating application (1) To remove any doubt, these rules apply to an election application as if the application were an originating application. (2) These rules apply in relation to a reference to the court under the Electoral Act, division 16.4 (Eligibility and vacancies) as if a statement under the Electoral Act, section 276 (Speaker to state case) setting out a question referred by the Assembly were an originating (3) These rules apply to an election application or a statement mentioned in subrule (2)— (a) subject to the Electoral Act and this part; and (b) with any necessary changes.
