2901 Copies of documents from registrar
(1) A person may, in writing, ask the registrar for—
(a) a copy or certified copy of an order of the court in a proceeding;
or
(b) a copy or certified copy of a document filed in a proceeding.
(2) The registrar must give the person the copy or certified copy asked
for.
Note 1 For a family or personal violence proceeding, the registrar is not required
to give a copy of a document that includes an affected person’s home or
work address or other information that may allow the affected person to
be located (see r 3802 (2) (r)).
Note 2 A fee may be determined under the Court Procedures Act 2004, s 13 for
(3) However, the registrar must not give a copy (or certified copy) of the
order or document to a person who is not a party to the proceeding
unless the person appears to the registrar to have a sufficient interest
in the order or document.
