2732 Accounts—reference to judicial officer
(1) If an account is taken by the registrar of a court, the registrar must if
asked by a person interested in the account, or may on his or her own
initiative, refer to a judicial officer of the court a question arising, and
the account must be taken in accordance with a direction the judicial
officer gives on the reference.
(2) A direction given by the judicial officer under subrule (1) may be
amended at any time until a certificate is filed of the results of the
account.
(3) This rule is additional to the following rules:
• rule 6254 (Order that jurisdiction in proceeding be exercised by
judicial officer other than registrar)

• rule 6255 (Registrar referring proceeding or issue to judicial
officer).
(a) for the registrar of the Supreme Court—a judge; or
(b) for the registrar of the Magistrates Court—a magistrate.
