2731 Accounts—class interests
(1) If it appears to the court that the interests of the people who are
entitled to attend the taking of the account can be classified, the court
may order each class to be represented by 1 solicitor and counsel.
(2) Despite an order under subrule (1), a person who objects to being
represented as a member of a class—
(a) may be separately represented; and
(b) if separately represented, is not entitled to an order for costs and
may be ordered to pay additional costs incurred by someone else
because of the separate representation.
(3) The court may order separate representation for members of a class
who are represented by 1 solicitor and counsel.
(4) This rule is additional to rule 259 (Representation—proceeding about
administration of deceased person’s estate or trust property) and rule
266 (Representation—numerous concurrent interests).
