28 Arrangements with police
(1) The director-general may make arrangements with the chief police
officer for police assistance in relation to the administration of the
following Acts:
(a) the Crimes (Sentencing) Act 2005;
(b) the Crimes (Sentence Administration) Act 2005;
(c) this Act.
(2) Subject to any arrangement under this section, the chief police officer
must comply, as far as practicable, with any request by the
director-general for police assistance mentioned in subsection (1).
(3) A police officer providing assistance under this section may exercise
any function exercisable by a corrections officer under an Act
mentioned in subsection (1) in accordance with any direction by the
