209 Effect of ACT permit for interstate leave
(1) An interstate leave permit for a full-time detainee authorises the
detainee to be absent from a correctional centre in accordance with
the permit—
(a) unescorted; or
(b) if the permit is subject to a condition that an escort officer must
escort the detainee—while under escort by the escort officer.
(2) If an interstate leave permit is subject to a condition that the full-time
detainee be escorted by an escort officer, the permit authorises the
escort officer to escort the detainee in accordance with the permit—
(a) to and within the participating State stated in the permit (whether
or not through any other jurisdiction); and
(b) back to the correctional centre.
