196 Presiding officer may require official reports
(1) For an inquiry, the presiding officer may, by written notice given to
any of the following, require the person to give the presiding officer
a written report about the accused:
(a) the director-general;
(b) if the accused has been detained at a NSW correctional centre—
the commissioner of corrective services under the Crimes
(Administration of Sentences) Act 1999 (NSW);
(c) the director of public prosecutions;
(d) a corrections officer;
(e) a public servant.
(2) The person given the notice must comply with it.
