153 Meaning of investigator
(1) An investigator is—
(a) a corrections officer to whom the director-general has given
functions of an investigator; or
(b) a person engaged under subsection (2).
(2) The director-general may, on behalf of the Territory, engage a person
(other than a corrections officer) to exercise the functions of an
investigator.
(3) The director-general may engage a person under subsection (2) only
if satisfied the person has appropriate qualifications or experience to
exercise the functions of an investigator.
