121 Body searches—seizing things
(1) The doctor conducting a body search of a detainee may seize anything
discovered during the search if—
(a) seizing the thing would not be likely to cause injury to the
detainee; and
(b) the doctor believes, on reasonable grounds, that the thing may
be evidence of the commission of an offence or disciplinary
breach by the detainee.
(2) The doctor must give the thing seized to a corrections officer as soon
as practicable.
