106 Mail searches—consequences
(1) Subject to section 127 (Seizing mail etc), a detainee’s mail, once
searched, must be delivered to the addressee as soon as practicable.
(2) If a search of a detainee’s mail reveals information about the
commission of an offence, the director-general must give the
information to the chief police officer.
