### 87 Special management days
> > (1) [*\[Section 87 Subsection (1) amended by No. 32 of 2019, s. 5, Applied:01 Nov 2020\]*](/view/html/inforce/2020-11-01/act-2019-032#GS5@Hpa@EN) The Director may, subject to any regulations for the purposes of this section, grant to a prisoner, in relation to the sentence, or sentences, of imprisonment in relation to which the prisoner is in custody or that form part of a continuous period in which the prisoner has been in custody, one or more special management days on account of good behaviour while suffering disruption or deprivation –

> > > > (a) during an industrial dispute or emergency existing in the prison in which the sentence is being served; or

> > > > (b) in other circumstances of an unforeseen and special nature.

> > (1A) [*\[Section 87 Subsection (1A) inserted by No. 32 of 2019, s. 5, Applied:01 Nov 2020\]*](/view/html/inforce/2020-11-01/act-2019-032#GS5@Hpb@EN) A prisoner who is granted under [subsection (1)](#GS87@Gs1@EN) one or more special management days, in relation to one or more sentences of imprisonment in relation to which the prisoner is or has been in custody, is entitled to have the total period in which the prisoner is required to be in custody under those sentences remitted by that number of days.
