### 69 Prisoner not to be released on parole in certain circumstances

> > > > (a) the court has ordered that the prisoner is ineligible for parole pursuant to [section 17](/view/html/inforce/2026-04-12/act-1997-059#GS17@EN) or [18](/view/html/inforce/2026-04-12/act-1997-059#GS18@EN) of the [Sentencing Act 1997](/view/html/inforce/2026-04-12/act-1997-059) ; or
> > >
> > > > (b) the prisoner is ineligible for parole by operation of [section 17(3A)](/view/html/inforce/2026-04-12/act-1997-059#GS17@Gs3A@EN) of that Act.
