### 53 Notice to participating State and transit States > > (1)  The Director is to give notice in writing to the corresponding Director and the chief officer of police of a participating State of the issue of an interstate leave permit permitting a prisoner to travel to that State and of the period of the permit. > > > (2)  The Director is to give notice in writing to the chief officer of police of any other State through which a prisoner is to travel by land to reach the participating State of the issue of an interstate leave permit permitting the prisoner to travel to the participating State and of the period of the permit.
