55 Payment for work (1) The rates of pay for work carried out by prisoners must be fixed by the Commissioner in the Commissioner's Directions. (2) If a prisoner carries out work, the Commissioner must: (a) calculate the amount notionally earned by the prisoner based on the determined rates of pay; and (b) pay that amount into the prisoner's trust account.
